Particles produced during the manufacture or uncoiling of aluminium wires can be deposited on the wire surface and oxidize.

These oxide particles enter the weld pool during welding and can lead to the formation of pores, penetration defects or even cracks in the welded joint - especially in critical applications or with multi-layer seams.

Tip: Use a sealed wire guide for aluminum wire and avoid open rewinding or repositioning. Even small foreign bodies or oxide particles in the weld pool can lead to seam deviations and cracking.
