Vibrations during the transportation of TIG welding rods in unsuitable packaging can lead to fine damage to the surface - for example in the form of micro-cracks, material splintering or deformed edges.
This damage impairs the metal bond during the welding process and can lead to penetration defects, impurities in the weld pool or uncontrolled droplet formation. This can significantly reduce the seam quality, especially in visible seams or with high-quality materials (e.g. titanium, stainless steel).
