The length of the liner has a direct impact on wire feeding. If the liner is too long or too short, this can lead to wire loops (birdnesting) or burn-back.
For torch assemblies with a total length of more than 7 meters, we recommend using an adapted wire feeding system – the Maxiglide – to ensure process stability. The Maxiglide feeds long distances with minimal resistance and without damaging the wire surface. This means less pulling force is required from the wire feeder, resulting in lower stress on the wire.
