For welding with soft wires - such as aluminum - the use of a wire feed system with four feed rollers is recommended. This distributes the contact pressure more evenly on the wire, thus avoiding spot loads.
This significantly reduces wire deformation, abrasion and the resulting soiling and changes to the wire geometry.
